UNICAL Postgraduate Admission Form 2017/2018 now Available University of Calabar UNICAL Postgraduate Admission Application Form is Out. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into graduate programmes in the 2017/2018 academic year leading to the award of Postgraduate Diploma, Masters and Doctor of Philosophy Degree of the University of Calabar (UNICAL). Courses may be offered full-time or part-time. All programmes begin with coursework and end with a project for Graduate Diploma, MBA, MPA and MPAS or thesis for Master’s and Ph.D degrees. Duration of Programme:  For full-time studies the Postgraduate Diploma lasts for two (2) semesters. The Master’s degrees last for 4 semesters; and the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) programmes last for 6 semesters. For part-time programmes, the Master’s degrees last for 6 semesters, the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) lasts for 10 semesters. Note that PGD programmes run on full-time basis only. ...

FG Nigeria Re-starts YouWiN! Connect Programme Registration 2017 YouWin Connect Nigeria Programme Registration 2017 Relaunched. The Federal Government of Nigeria has re-opened the registration portal for the young entrepreneurs empowerment programme called, YouWin Connect. In a statement released by the Director of Information at the Ministry of Finance, Salisu Dambatta, on Friday in Abuja, said the programme was re-branded and re-launched for young Nigerians. He said the YouWiN! Connect team in the Ministry of Finance has released details of the registration procedure, indicating the programme overview and objectives as well as listed the eligibility criteria for prospective participants. He said registration was opened via the  Youwin program website on July 24, adding that registration is free of charge. Ghana launches its first satellite into space

Ghana has successfully launched its first satellite into space. GhanaSat-1, which was developed by students at All Nations University in Koforidua, was sent into orbit from the International Space Centre. Cheers erupted as 400 people, including the engineers, gathered in the southern Ghanaian city to watch live pictures of the launch. The first signal was received shortly afterwards. It is the culmination of a two-year project, costing $50,000 (£40,000). It received support from the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). The satellite will be used to monitor Ghana's coastline for mapping purposes, and to build capacity in space science and technology. Project coordinator Dr Richard Damoah said it marked a new beginning for the country. "It has opened the door for us to do a lot of activities from space," he told the BBC. The US, Russia and Jordan have agreed to put in place a ceasefire across South-western Syria, which is due to begin on Sunday.
